My experience in Madeira was awesome, such a great place to go ride with amazing trails. The guys at Freeride Madeira made this so much more special with the professional set up and catering to what the guests want. I had plenty of fun and will certainly be back to have fun with the Freeride guys again. Cheers.

I’ve had an absolutely awesome time on Madeira riding with Freeride Madeira and competing in the local Enduro race. Besides the breathtaking scenery and diverse trail system you can really feel the passion for mountain biking on this little island. It’s only couple of flight hours away but feels so exotic. Mountain biking on Madeira is definitely a must do!
The guys at Freeride Madeira make life so easy. From airport pick-up to drop-off they have everything covered. You just arrive, ride your bike, eat amazing food and enjoy the epic views. They really give you the full experience of the island by showing you the sights, sounds and culture that Madeira has to offer while riding some of the best trails around amongst some breath taking scenery. If you haven’t been on a trip with these guys yet, put them on top of your list.
I am fortunate enough to have been to most of the world best riding spots but Madeira is my favorite place in the world for riding and shooting. The landscape, trails, weather, locals, culture, food, guiding is all top notch and makes for a killer trip every time. I have been nine times and can’t wait for the next one. Keep being the best riding holiday company going Freeride!
As a cycling photographer, I have travelled the world searching out cool new places to shoot. Very few exotic places in the world have a dialled local ride guiding company, like Freeride Madeira, that can help out source the best of local trails, restaurants, scenic spots, etc. Better yet, they are ripper riders and also great trail builders that have made some incredibly fun trails to ride. John and his crew have made Madeira a world class mountain bike destination.
At Cut Media we’ve run several filming projects for clients including Santa Cruz Bikes and Red Bull on Madeira and no-one can match the support and knowledge of the Island that the Freeride Madeira team have give us. They’re a great team who know how to deliver the best riding experience, trails and logistics.
Filming in Madeira in 2016 for DEATHGRIP has been not only a highlight of my career filming mountain bikes but of my life in general. The island is magical. John wen’t above and beyond the call of duty in making sure the both the riders and production crew had everything we needed to capture the best images of mountain biking imaginable. Everything about both trips to the island myself and the crew did for the film was perfect. The shooting opportunities that the islands presents are seemingly endless. I can’t wait to get back and work on another project with Freeride Madeira. I simply cannot speak highly enough of John and the entire Freeride Madeira crew. Epic times.
